Tracey Woodhead is a freelance dressage, showjumping and eventing trainer and instructor based in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. She covers a wide area of Lincolnshire on a daily basis and is also available for one and two day clinics in other areas by arrangement. Tracey welcomes any client who has a genuine interest in improving their riding, whether for pure Dressage, Eventing or simply being a better rider. She also undertakes the training and educating of the youngsters through to the grand prix horse.
Tracey will aspire to pass on to clients her own skills and knowledge,
her genuine love of the horse and her enthusiasm for the sport (and the art!).
Tracey is a very knowledgeable teacher, having been fortunate to compete at the national and international level on a variety of horses. She was included on the Olympic potential squad on one of her most famous home produced horses "Jos De Vos", who was later sold on to fund other younger horses. She has a sharp eye for detail and a strong awareness and understanding of how the horse and rider should working together. She is an instructor who can really tell you 'how to do it' and produces good riders that are effective and knowledgable without the use of gadgets.
Tracey has trained and competed to Advanced and small tour level, including Saumur, Hickstead and Holland. She has won the Summer National Novice Championships, Winter National Novice Champs twice, and the Winter Elementary Champs twice, her results really do speak for themselves as most of her results are on horses she has trained herself. With over 20 years of riding, training and teaching behind her, experienced and novice riders really feel the difference in their horses from their training sessions. Many of her clients have found themselves progressing further than they had thought possible, and those that compete, have improved their marks and expectations!!
